The 5th in the series of the MOBA Annual Engagement Series takes place on Wednesday 30th September 2020 at the Joy News Studio at 6:30 pm with the theme “Dwen Hwe Kan: A Mantra for Creating Youthful Entrepreneurs in our Digital World.”

In view of the current situation regarding the Covid-19 pandemic and the need for safety precautions, what has normally been an open event in a hall, will this year be held vitually..  Two of the Panel members will make their presentations from their bases in the US and the United Kingdom, the other two together with the Moderator will be in the Joy Fm Studios.

The discussion will draw attention to the opportunities for creating employment among the youth and young adults through entrepreneurial pursuits in the digital age. It will further make the case for leveraging the emerging digital economy in Ghana to promote business prospects in the country.

Tsidi Tsikata (MOBA70) a former Division Chief at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and currently a Senior Fellow at the African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET) will look at the development of Ghana’s Digital Economy with emphasis on Infrastructure Needs, Policies and Prospects. 

The discussion on Entrepreneurship with focus on the Educational Journey to Business and Economic Prosperity will be handled by Ekow Archer (MOBA 90) an entrepreneur, investor, and business leader with over twenty years of professional experience.

Kofi Akuoko(MOBA 80), a UK based IT infrastructure consultant and Enterprise Architect will lead the discussion on the Future of Work in the Digital World whilst the Head of Country for BP in Ghana, Fiifi Dadzie (MOBA 2000) looks at Leveraging Ghana’s young and agile demography for economic development.

The moderator for the event will be Daniel Dadzie (MOBA 2008), a broadcast Journalist with the Multimedia Group is a former host of Joy FM’s Super Morning Show, now co-host of Joy Prime TV’s breakfast program ‘Prime Morning’ and anchor of the midday news bulletin on Joy News on Multi TV.  

The MOBA Annual Engagement Series was instituted in 2016 by the Mfantsipim Old Boys Association (MOBA) to serve as MOBA’s contribution towards the development of Ghana by creating awareness and encouraging debate in the public domain on matters of national interest annually.
