The video for “Already,” the hit single taken off American pop icon Beyoncé’s Lion King: the Gift LP, featuring Ghana’s Shatta Wale and Major Lazer has been released.

The clip, also confirmed to feature on Beyonce’s Black is King visual album has been hotly anticipated since it was teased online with snippets earlier this week, and it has lived up to the hype.

“Already” preaches pride in one’s identity as a black person, a virtue that is enacted boldly and colourfully in the clip. Aesthetically, the video crisscrosses the Atlantic, with culture from Africa and the United States heavily represented via dance, fashion, and the music itself.

In Ghana, the collaboration, considered to be a huge milestone for Shatta Wale, has been met with resounding approval, particularly on social media.
