Ghanaian singer, Niiella has been unveiled as one of the finalists on the tenth season of ‘Sunday Best’ – the Black Entertainment Television (BET) gospel themed singing competition show.
Set to premiere on Sunday, July 5, it will see the former season 5 ‘Stars of the Future’ first runner-up compete with other talented artistes for a recording contract with RCA Inspiration, a cash prize of $50,000 and the title of ‘Sunday Best.’
The season will feature exclusive performances from the likes of Yolanda Adams, Marvin Sapp, and Mali Music.
Hosted by Kirk Franklin, the show has Erica Campbell, Kelly Price and Jonathan McReynolds as judges.
Jesse Collins, CEO of Jesse Collins Entertainment (BET Awards, The New Edition Story), and Dionne Harmon (The Bobby Brown Story) serve as executive producers of the new season, along with executive producer and showrunner Jeannae Rouzan-Clay (Black Girls Rock!), and Torrence Glenn (Celebration Of Gospel) is co-executive producer.
Born Niiella Dankwah-Coffie, she released her debut album ‘Shades of Mercy’ in 2017.
Joe Mettle is featured on lead single ‘Obiara Nni Ho’ off the album.
