Bozoma Saint John is the new Chief Marketing Officer of streaming giant, Netflix.
The Ghanaian marketing executive joins the American media services provider and production company from talent and media company, Endeavor where she served as Chief Marketing Officer since 2018.
“I’m thrilled to join Netflix, especially at a time when storytelling is critical to our global, societal well-being. I feel honored to contribute my experience to an already dynamic legacy, and to continue driving engagement in the future,” says John.
John has close to two decades working in industries including music, fashion, sports and entertainment. She previously worked with Uber as its Chief Brand Officer, and was Head of Global Consumer Marketing for Apple Music and iTunes.
Prior to those roles, she was head of the Music and Entertainment Marketing Group at Pepsi-Cola North America.

As we bring more great stories to our members around the world, she’ll define and lead our next exciting phase of creativity and connection with consumers,” reads a statement by Ted Sarandos, Netflix Chief Content Officer.
John is largely loved by Ghanaians and Africans on the continent and in the Diaspora for her pro-African initiatives.
In 2016, before wrapping her presentation at Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference, she played the hit song ‘Ye Wo Krom,’ by Ghanaian artiste, Atom. That act, endeared her to stakeholders in the Ghanaian and African music scene.
