Kojo Mensah has been named the host of Asaase Breakfast Show.

The former Vibe and Live FM Broadcaster will compere the show that airs on Weekdays between 5:30am and 10am.

The station has lined up a number of other talents including Elvis Crystal, Caroline Sampson and Kwaku Sakyi Addo.

Asaase Radio is run by the same owners of the Daily Statesman newspaper, which has Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko as the frontman.

The station operates under the tagline “The Voice of Our land,” and broadcasts in English on 99.5 FM.

The station becomes the latest addition to Accra’s growing radio ecosystem.

Ghana’s capital currently has some 54 radio stations spread across commercial, community, campus and foreign stations (RFI, VOA and BBC). Of the number, Radio Gold (90.5) and Montie (100.1) are off air for regulatory reasons.
