‘I Just Want To,’ singer Knii Lante’s latest musical submission, is an emotive love song wrapped up in mid-tempo Afro-groove.
The thematic core of the joint is “the universal yearning of everyone to be loved,” he says in a statement.
Co-produced by Lante and serial hit-maker DatBeatgod, ‘I Just Want To,’ its author is optimistic, will “zoom up the music charts and take over the airwaves in Africa and beyond.” A solid track record makes it hard to doubt.
‘I Just Want To’ comes off the heels of Knii Lante’s much-acclaimed #Humanity, which the doctor-musician dedicates to frontline health workers fighting the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Born Nii Okunka Blankson, Knii Lante has been actively involved in music since 1998. He was adjudged Best Male Vocalist for the 2010/2011 Ghana Music Awards, and has been associated with top Ghanaian and international acts as Blakk Rasta, Samini, and Queen Africa. His Big Hills Band is associated to the august Groove House Studio.
