On his new record, reggae firebrand and broadcaster, Blakk Rasta tackles he COVID- 19 pandemic, lamenting its effects and praying it away.

Produced by Hotmix, “Coro Coro: A Corona Virus Lament” coincides with a fortnight-long partial lockdown declared by Ghana’s president, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo as part of emergency strategies to alleviate the epidemic.

Ghana has recorded over 150 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of March 29 with five deaths.

Born Abubakar Ahmed, Rasta sits among the countries preeminent social voices. His last album, Timbuktu by Road was published in 2019.
