The Afro Nation Festival, which debuted in Ghana last December, returns for five more years, per top NPP member, Gabby Okyere Darko.
Mr. Darko disclosed this via social media Tuesday, January 21, describing it as “fantastic news for traders and ravers.”
The new deal is a partnership between the Ghana Tourism Authority and Event Horizon Entertainment Limited, organisers of Afro Nation, with the country’s president, Nana Akufo Addo among high-profile witnesses.
“This means,’ continued Mr. Darko, “investors, entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized businesses have at least a five-year investment plan to focus on to exploit well the anticipated annual Christmas traffic. The trade boom will be sustained by your thinking government.”
Founded by Adesegun ” SMADE” Adeosun and business partner Obi Asika, it was first held in May 2018 in Portugal. over the years, it has paraded Africa’s biggest stars, among whom are Davido, Wizkid, Burnaboy, Shatta Wale, Seyi Shay, and Stonebwoy. This March, it heads to Puerto Rico.
