Here are images from the latest stop of Shatta Wale’s ongoing Reign Tour, which happened at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale over the weekend.
The mamoth concert saw a full house–an unsurprising scene as far as the dancehall star and Maccasio, his co-headliner are concerned.
Also on the bill were Shatta Wale’s Millitants (comprising Captan, Joint 77, and Addi Self), Gaffachi, One9ra, Fadlan, Flawa among others.
A higlight on the night was when Wale and Maccasio performed their ubiquitous hit, “Too Big.”
Shatta Wale’s trek to Tamale also saw him being installed ‘Dancehall King’prior to the concert, by Nyeb-Dakpema Fusieni Bawa, Chief of Tamale. The enskinment ceremony which came off at the Dakpema Palace in Tamale was witnessed by dozens of patrons and well-wishers.
“Thanks to his eminence the Chief and elders of the palace in Tamale, the people and youth of Tamale for the honour bestowed upon me. I know your prayers and love will fortify this union and open doors for the youth and people in Tamale and the rest of northern people. I am humbled,” said Wale about the honour.
