A two-day event, slated for March 29 at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Airport-Accra, and Ma 30 at the Action Dome, Action Chapel, Spintex Road, the annual Africa Gospel Awards Festival (AGAFEST) looks to recognize and celebrate hardworking gospel acts, as well as shine the light on mission projects, outreach and evangelism, charity works among other Gospel-related activities across Africa.
With over six participating countries, over 20 major performing artiste across the continent and 33 categories to be awarded, the event will bring down the anointing of God on a scale never witnessed before.
Patrons on the night of AGAFEST will witness the honoring of Elder Kwasi Mireku, a gospel minstrel of an outstanding pedigree; whose ministry spans over four decades with forty albums to his credit. An elder of the Church of Pentecost, his contribution towards the propagation of the Gospel through music has influence many across the globe.
His devotion to the music ministry over the years will be recognized and awarded with “A Life-time Achievement, a well deserving honor for a life time devotion to the service of humanity through gospel music.
He will be performing his rich and unique rendition of gospel songs on the night as one of the rich line up of performers.
The event will start exactly at 5pm and feature top artist such as Joe Mettle, KODA, Patience Nyarko, Sammie Okposo, Akesse Brempong, Elder Mireku, Cwesi Oteng among others:
