Ghana’s Stonebwoy has won his first Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award.
The country’s sole nominee, the musician beat Adesua Etomi (Nigeria), IK Osakioduwa (Nigeria), and Sauti Sol (Kenya) to pick up the “Favourite African Star” laurel, announced at a lavish ceremony at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, March 23.
The event, curated to honour stars across music, TV, movies and social media, was hosted by renowned DJ and producer, DJ Khaled.
Nigeria’s Davido lost to singer Taylor Swift (North America) in the “Favourite Global Music Star” category, which also had BLACKPINK (Asia), Troye Sivan (Australia/New Zealand), David Guetta (Europe), , J Balvin (Latin America) and HRVY (UK)as nominees
The 2019 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is also the 32nd edition of the ceremony.
