Stonebwoy is Ghana’s sole nominee at the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards (KCAs), slated for the Galen Center in Los Angeles, March 23.

He was nominated in the category of “Favourite African Star,” which also has Adesua Etomi (Nigeria), IK Osakioduwa (Nigeria), and Sauti Sol (Kenya) in the running.

The event, which will honour stars across music, TV, movies and social media, will be compered by renowned DJ and producer, DJ Khaled.

Nigeria’s Davido goes against BLACKPINK (Asia), Troye Sivan (Australia/New Zealand), David Guetta (Europe), Taylor Swift (North America), J Balvin (Latin America) and HRVY (UK) for the category of “Favourite Global Music Star.”

Other nominees from the continent of Africa are rapper  AKA, actress Nomzamo Mbatha, rugby player Siya Kolisi, cricketer Kagiso Rabada and TV personality Somizi Mhlongo, all in the running for “Favourite South African Star.”

The 2019 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is also the 32nd edition of the ceremony. Voting for nominees ends March 22, 2019.
