The second annual Meet Me There Weekender, slated for Dzita (V/R) March 14-17, will have as headline acts, highlife doyens Ebo Taylor, Bessa Simons, and young star, Kyekyeku.

Other musicians who constitute the line up include Worlasi, Adomaa, Agbeshie, Senku Live, Zongo Abongo, Kakatsitsi Drummers, the Evergreen Dance Band among others.

The festival, “designed to open your eyes to the magic of Ghana through a carefully-curated display of Music, Arts and Culture,” also delivers workshops, graffiti collaborations between Ghanaian and foreign artists, beach soccer tournaments with locals, beach parties, a boat trip down the Volta River, among other activities.

The Meet Me There Weekender is put together by charity organisation Dream Big Ghana, which partners the Dzita and Agbledomi communities on projects catering to sanitation, healthcare, education and youth sports development.

Last year’s edition raised over £6,000 for the organisation, bringing “life-saving sanitation and life-changing educational opportunities to local villages.”
