Ghanaian reggae star, Samini has unveiled the artwork and track list for his forthcoming 7th studio project, “Untamed.” Catering fully to the island pulse,  the album, scheduled for release December 22, comprises 22 songs (including previously released singles “My Own” and “Obaa” as bonus tracks).

Titles off the project include “Reggae Nice,” “Natty Dread,” “Old Man’s Radio,” “Mokpiera,” “Ethiopia,” “Reggae Dada” and “Survival. Majority of the production duty on the work was handled by Seattle-based Grammy nominees, Loud City Music. It features no guest acts.

Interacting with press and industry connoisseurs  at the unveiling yesterday, December 17, the singer disclosed his expectations of taking on the globe with this project, hopefully culminating in a Grammy honor.  The meeting also afforded the “Linda” man an opportunity to preview the body of work to industry stakeholders before it finally comes out. The album will be ourdoored with Samini’s annual end-of-year concert, Saminifest.

Already, the body of work has proven itself an award-winning material. “My Own” for instance has seen astounding success, as it was earlier this year, named VGMA Reggae/ Dancehall Song of the Year. “Obaa,” is also widely lauded as an impressive celebration of love.

Samini’s HighGrade Family, is currently home to singer Deon Boakye, with whom he recently collaborated on “You Do All”. A renowned live performer, he has performed alongside Sean Paul, Akon, Kevin Little, Shaggy, Wayne Wonder, Damian Marley, Bennie Man, Jay-Z, Chaka Demus & Pliers, Culture, Steel Pulse among others. He has also collaborated with the likes of Kelly Rowland, WizKid, Mac Tontoh, MI Abaga, and Reggie Rockstone.

Samini hails from Wa, and was born Emmanuel Andrews Samini. His repertoire consists Dankwasere (2004), Samini (2007), Dagaati (2008), C.E.O (2010), Next Page (2013), and Breaking News (2015). A lodestar in many regards, Samini has toured extensively, his praise has come from far and near, a key highlight among his feats being his groundbreaking MOBO Award win in 2006.
