It is now confirmed, that Shatta Wale’s “Reign Thanksgiving Concert” to crown an impactful 2018 (his sixth straight year at the apex of Ghana’s mainstream) will come off on December 28 –the same day archrival Stonebwoy attempts to fill up the Fantasy Dome, La for his “BHIM Concert.”

Shatta Wale’s show is scheduled for Mantse Agbonaa, Jamestown. Interestingly, the situation is considered by many, including Stonebwoy himself, as a deliberate attempt by the “Gringo” man to sabotage the BHIM Concert. “There is no way I would do that to my fellow artiste. What is he trying to prove? He knows very well I have my concert on 28th and he quickly fixed his there. This is complete sabotage,” he lamented at a press soiree announcing the BHIM Concert weeks back.

To others however, the development is a true test of their star power as artists, and can only be good for the industry. Both acts have had Billboard-charting albums, impressive Spotify numbers, and headlined concerts throughout the year. It therefore, all comes down to December 28. It is important to note that Shatta Wale (born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr. ) has already checked the Fantasy Dome box during the launch of his latest studio album, “Reign.”

There’s little doubt that both events will witness a full house come December 28.

While no other acts have been named for Shatta Wale’s gig yet,  but his “militants”: Joint 77, Addi Self, and Captan are a definite fixture, as is his fiancee, Shatta Michy.
