Award-winning Afro singer Kidi has been nominated for the Prestigious Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

The Thunder singer will compete with rapper Sarkodie, F.A (Liberia), Khaligraph Jones (Kenya), Fikfameica (Uganda) for the best non-Nigerian artiste or Africa.

Kidi’s Odo remix with DMW/30 BG signed acts Davido and Mayorkun received major rotations on mainstream media platforms making it one of the biggest songs in Nigeria.

The Nigeria Entertainment Awards (NEA Awards) were established in New York City in January 2006 to serve the growing African population in North America. It recognizing the contributions of African entertainers to the entertainment industry. The event aims to promote the image and culture of Nigeria. This has increased the awareness of a new edgy style of African entertainment that has helped promote Nigerian acts to the world.

The 2018 Nigerian Entertainment Awards will be held on Sunday, November 11th 2018 in Washington DC in the United States of America.

KiDi, known in private life as Dennis Nana Dwamena has succeeded in carving a niche for himself with his smooth voice, bad boy looks and fame as the MTN Hit-Maker 2015 winner.

Signed to Lynx Entertainment after winning the competition, KiDi’s first official single ‘Naadu’, features label mate MzVee and was produced by Magnom. The music video for the single was directed by Nana Kofi Asihene. He went on to sing an acoustic cover of Joey B’s UXME and followed it with Awurama and Never Again.

In 2017, KiDi cemented his roots in the Ghana Music industry with two successful hit songs Say You Love Me and Odo which had Davido and Mayorkun from Nigeria Jump on a Remix. He had 6 nominations at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and walked away with “Highlife song of the year” award. He has also worked with Tic Tac and Adina.
