Here are visuals to “My Everything”, singer Joe Mettle’s mid-tempo follow-up to “Bo Noo Ni” —the worship number that won him Gospel Song of the Year at VGMA 2018.
Recorded at the Reverb Studios, and published under Joe Mettle Ministries, the praise jam is themed on endless gratitude to God for His diverse blessings, and touts the Creator’s endless power: “how can I express my gratitude?/for all the many things you’ve done for me /words are not enough to say thank you /Lord, You’re my everything,” female choristers sing in unison when the song starts — steered excellently by Mettle’s ad-libs.
The singers break into parts, dispatching liquid harmony on the pre-hook: “I call You Jireh, Lord My Provider/I call You Nissi, You are My Banner /I call You Rapha, You are My Healer /Lord, You’re My everything”
“Woyɛ m’ade nyinaa,” the single phrase repeated in the chorus, translates from Twi as “You are My Everything.” The record spans a thoroughly pleasing four minutes and forty-three seconds, and the Willdray-made clip accompanying the song features cameo appearances from Starr FM’s Giovani Caleb and DJ Vyrusky, broadcastr Fiifi Folson, and fellow Gospel minister, Akesse Brempong.
Joe Mettle is author of several widespread hymns/medleys, including “Owawani”, which won him VGMA Artist of the Year back in April. Active since 2011, he has been associated with Danny Nettey, Nii Okai, KODA, Joe Beecham, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Eugene Zuta, Yaw Sarpong among others. God
