The fracas between Nana Poku Kwarteng, father of late Singer, Ebony Reigns (Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng), and Rufftown Records, the Ricky Nana Agyeman-led imprint that managed her, seems to have taken a new turn, following recent public allegations of exploitation by Mr Kwarteng, about how proceeds from his daughter’s tribute concert were shared (Mr Kwarteng, days ago, accused Ricky Nana Agyeman (known across showbiz as Bullet) of giving him a measly amount of GHc 2,000 of  total proceeds made from the concert (GHc 39,000).

Via a press release dated August 14, the label boss announced his outfit’s decision to no longer publish unreleased music by the singer posthumously, as earlier promised. The statement also clarified confusion surrounding intellectual property ownership of Ebony’s unreleased material, stating that songs she wrote herself now belong to Mr. Kwarteng, whilst records authored by other musicians remain theirs.

In a related development, Bullet has also issued a 9-pointer detailing Mr. Kwarteng’s greed, including how the late singer’s father has strong-armed him into relinquishing his percentage from the singer’s funeral, tribute concerts, cloth deal, and VGMA prize moneys with endless demands.

He also claimed that Mr. Kwarteng has sidelined partners of Rufftown Records, who will publish their side of the story soon.
