The joint, steered by a firm bass line and bars that bite, arrives as the latest in a streak of 2018 releases my M.anifest —heightening suspicion that a new album is in the horizon. The record is also one of multiple collaborations between the pair, after such well-received offerings as “Time No Dey” and “Hand Dey Go, Hand Dey Come” (which both appear on M.anifest’s last album, “Nowhere Cool”), as well as “100%.”
“I’m here to last, not to carry last,” declares the “god MC” (born Kwame Ametepee Tsikata) —more a reiteration, if anyone has followed his music over the years.
