Ghana’s newest gospel sensation, LOR, has launched her debut single Only You. The song, released on her birthday, 3rd August 2018, is a song of praise motivated by the realization that God deserves our praise in both joyful and difficult times, as long as we have breath.

The soundtrack was recorded at the UVSL Live Studios in Accra by legendary sound engineer Hubert Kofi Anti (U-beatz).

LOR, whose real name is Loretta Adjetey, is a contemporary Christian recording artiste who believes that every day of life, every moment of breath, is an opportunity worth praising God for.

LOR also finds the Biblical instruction to praise God very inspiring; “I really love the way one of my favorite scriptures, which is Psalm 150:6, refuses to give us the luxury of choice in praise and rather commands: Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!”

It all began with being just a vibrant choir member and worship leader in her church – The Apostolic Church Ghana, Teshie North Assembly. Loretta however didn’t consider professional music recording until she was connected with BEKOFI Music Hub – a music marketing wing of the Ghanaian creative firm BEKOFI who later signed her in 2017 as a recording artiste. In the same year, she found the drive to play the acoustic guitar and began taking lessons to advance her skills.

Born on 3rd August 1995 to Mrs. Regina Adjetey and Mr. Henry Adjetey Badu, Loretta is the last born of her parents with two older siblings whom she loves dearly.

Loretta is an alumna of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) where she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. Before that, she attended the Ghanata Senior High School in Dodowa and had her basic education at Annemarie International School at Teshie in Accra.

As LOR sets out on this musical journey, her deepest desire, she says, is to touch lives with the love of God through her ministry, to reach out to the lost and strengthen those already in the Christian faith.
