Dancehall singer, Shatta Wale ( Charles Nii Armah Mensah) has revealed on Accra-based Starr FM, that his forthcoming album features a single guest act — Nigerian rapper, Olamide.

Christened The Reign, the album follows Cloud 9 (October 2017) — a six-track EP on the occasion of his 33rd birthday, and the groundbreaking After the Storm Album (May 2016), which birthed records as Mahama Paper, Baby Chop Kiss, Bie Gya, and Reality. When it is finally published, it will be  the Kakai man’s first body of work under Nana Appiah Mensah’s ZYLOFON Music.

The Reign‘s first single, Gringo, was released back in April, in classical Shatta Wale fashion, to abundant pomp and widespread reviews.  Hours ago, he debuted Amount ( directed by SESAN) on MTV Base.

Also captain of his SM4LYF imprint, which houses protégés Captan, Addi Self, and Joint 77, Shatta Wale is recipient of multiple VGMAs, a  Chicago Music Awards (CMA) laurel, an International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA) honour, a Key to the City of Worcester etc.

On the continent, Olamide, who founded and heads the YBNL label, is top tier. Frequently authoring legitimate party hits, the Wo man, without question, merits his place on the album.
