The death is reported of famed Ghanaian actor, Mc Jordan Amartey. The performer is reported to have died while on admission at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital last night (Thursday, July 5).

Star of several popular films including Black Star 2 (2006), The Returnee (1995), Victim of Love 2 (1998), the “Idikoko” series, as well as TV Theatre productions, Amartey is especially known for his endless quarrels with on-screen wife, Grace Nortey, with whom he starred in many movies.

Until his death, the veteran actor battled a number of health situations including having to have his right leg amputated in 2012—something which he revealed contributed significantly towards his absence from the movie scenes.

He was 82, and was survived by 5 sons.
