Ghana’s Kojo Antwi is set to tour a number of destinations in the US this July. Aptly christened ‘The Maestro Tour’ (after his popular alias), tour will see him make stops in Chicago, Minnesota, Maryland, New York among other states.
Put together by Brand Africa Group and Berks Concepts (based in North Carolina and Atlanta respectively), the series kicks off at the White Hall, 3572 South Cottage Grove, Illinois on July 27, 2018. That gig will also mark the official commencement of the 30th Ghana Fest event, put together by the Ghana Council in Chicago.
Minnesota, Maryland, and New York and a number of other states will follow. The former Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) chairman will also make radio appearances in each tour city.
Author of timeless tunes including Densu, Tom And Jerry, Dadie Anomaa, and Adiepena, Kojo Antwi bears a remarkable 22 albums to his credit, as well as many laurels including West Africa Tourism Award, All Africa Music Awards, Kora Award, and the Our Music Award under his belt, Kojo Antwi (born Julius Kojo Antwi) is a trusted authority in Ghanaian music. His sound is a flavoursome blend of reggae, highlife, Afropop, soul, R&B, among other rhythms.
