EIB NETWORK Completes Strategic Growth Path Process



Leading media organization, EIB Network, has successfully completed an internal growth path process that will see it become a world class media organization.

The company, founded in 2014, and currently a leading player in the media ecosystem in Ghana and Africa, has set its sights on a deliberate and conscious drive towards an agenda that makes it resolute going forward.

The company today announced that, with the exception of GHOne TV (which operates from its head office at Platinum Place, Ridge, Accra), it has strategically moved all of its other units in Accra to the Meridian House located on the Ring Road.

The assembly of the units, executive management says, is to ensure a realization of its long-held dream of convergence, which is a key element of its initial roll out and strategic plan.

Management says it believes the businesses coming into one space would offer the various departments a perfect synergy to consolidate its gains while strengthening internal company values and ethos, central to its growth.

Part of a planned process that started in September 2017, executive management says the movement into one space would also afford it an opportunity to adequately scale down its human resource, where necessary and concentrate on meeting its stated goals with the right numbers. An internal Human Resource process to brief workers has been held while assurances have also been given.

“This is necessary as we have to stay competitive and winning. Growth, to our overall plan to become a leading business, is essential and we do believe that these steps would play a critical role in how we are able to navigate the business environment we find ourselves in,” says Chief Executive Officer, Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi.

He added that: “We have immense confidence in our staff and can be rest assured that they will help in realizing this convergence plan, a necessity for a progressive brand like ours.”

The media group’s management says it strongly believes that these prudent measures will play a pivotal role in sustaining the goodwill of its brand and the equity it has, and continues to enjoy in Ghana and beyond.

With headquarters in Ghana’s capital, Accra, the company was founded in August 2014, and has since become one of the leading media groups in Africa.

With an impressive asset portfolio in television, radio, print and digital, the company is strategically positioned to lead in the markets that it operates.

The media group operates Starr FM, LIVE FM, Kasapa FM, GHOne TV and Agoo TV (all in Accra); Ultimate FM and Abusua FM (in Kumasi); Empire FM and Radio 360 (in Takoradi), Agoo FM (in Nkawkaw) and the Daily Heritage Newspaper (also in Accra). Zylofon’s Nana Appiah Mensah Gives GHC1million to Chief Imam’s Educational Fund



Under the auspices of NAM Mission, the Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold and Zylofon Group of Companies, Nana Appiah Mensah, has donated One Million Ghana Cedis as seed money for the setting up of the ‘Sheikh Nuhu Osmanu Sharubutu Educational Fund’ to support the education of bright but needy Muslims in Ghana.

The ‘Sheikh Nuhu Sharubutu Educational Fund, which is an initiative of NAM Mission, calculated to boost education among needy Muslims in the country, was announced on when the Chief Imam paid a working visit to the offices of the Mission.

The ground breaking initiative was revealed by Mr. Nana Appiah Mensah when the Chief Imam paid a courtesy call on the business magnate to thank him for the massive support he gave various needy Muslims communities during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Accompanied by some members of the leadership of Muslims in Ghana including Chief Abdul Kaadir Taahiru – the leader of the Council of Muslim Chiefs – the Chief Imam was visiting the business mogul to express gratitude over Mr. Mensah’s philanthropic gesture towards destitute Muslims during the Ramadan.

Citing the time he has spent living among Muslims in the country, Mr. Mensah revealed that the lack of financial support hampered the progress of several needy but intelligent Muslims he grew up with.

He said as part of his support to Muslims in Ghana to celebrate the Eidul-Fitr, he is setting up of the Sheikh Nuhu Osman Sharubutu Educational Fund which will have a lasting impact on the needy to be fully managed by the Chief Imam.

Mr. Mensah said, with support of this nature under the auspices of the Chief Imam, several needy Muslims can grow to help in the development not only for their families but also of the country.

“I grew up in Muslim neighborhoods like Sukula and Kasoa and to see that some of my Muslim friends could not go far with their education because of financial problems we thought an initiative like this could be our small support to help some of our needy brothers in the Muslim and Zongo communities,” said Nana Appiah Mensah.

“I have no doubt in my mind that a lot of these young, intelligent but needy Muslims will not only help to uplift their families but will also contribute to the development of Ghana in future.

“We all know the role the His Eminence the National Chief Imam has played in Ghana over the years in fostering peace and unity and with an initiative like this in education, I am sure is a step in the right direction.

“I want to thank the National Chief Imam and his Council of Muslim Chiefs for the prayers for the country over the years and during the recent Holy Month of Ramadan for praying for peace in the Ghana.”

The National Chief Imam praised Nana Appiah Mensah for his good works in the country insisting that Allah will surely reward him.

“Allah has said in the Holy Quran that the recompense for people who do good in society is good returns so I am in no doubt that Allah will reward him for the attention he pays to the needy,” the Chief Imam said.

“We know what Mr. Nana Appiah Mensah has been doing for humanity and an initiative like this can also enhance his standing among the people favoured by Allah.

NAM Mission is a charity organization in Ghana that is geared towards the provision of aid to the under-privileged and needy in society as well the development of deprived communities across the country. It also aims at setting up business models across the country in order to create jobs – as part of its resolve to improve the economic growth of the country.

Guinness rewards 13 consumers with FREE PLOTS OF LAND



Guinness has rewarded thirteen (13) lucky consumers with free plots of land in the ongoing national consumer promotion dubbed “Win a Piece of Ghana”.

Guinness, this week presented three new winners with their rewards. They were Roland Offeh from Kasoa, David Mba Ayaab from Zebilla in the Upper East Region, and Robert Wilberforce Cofie from Sekondi in the Western Region. The three were each given a plot of land.

“I am very excited that Ghanaians have a strong belief in Guinness, the campaign and the feeling of independence. All the winners so far cut across the various regions of Ghana showing the breadth of Guinness drinkers,” she added.

She explained that the promotion was one of the brand’s way of celebrating independence with Ghanaians and to also show appreciation to its consumers for their years of loyalty.

One of the winners, Robert Wilberforce Cofie, a pensioner from Sekondi, commended Guinness for bringing up campaigns that empower peoples’ independence. “I can’t believe that I now own a plot of land. I am so grateful to Guinness for this life changing prize.”

The Win a Piece of Ghana promo which was launched on 1st March 2018, seeks to reward 16 loyal and lucky Guinness drinkers over a period of 16 weeks with plots of land in Appolonia City.

So far, 13 plots of land have been won by consumers with three more to go in addition to thousands of cedi in free airtime and data.

Zylofon Cash now on Apple Store



Zylofon Cash has launched a free-to-download iOS application on Apple Store.

All Set for 2nd Annual Ghana Beverage Awards



The 2nd edition of the Ghana Beverage Awards (GBA), scheduled to come off Friday, 22nd June, 2018 at the Alisa Hotel, aims at recognizing and celebrating excellence within the Ghana Beverage Industry. The awards will see beverage giants in the country competing in 13 categories based on their performances in certain key areas in the 2017 financial year.

According to the organizing committee and partners led by Global Media Alliance, applications have been received from key players in the beverage industry.  The panel of judges comprising representatives from the Food and Beverages Association of Ghana, Food Research Institute of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research and Consumer Protection Agency among others, is at the final stages of the scoring process.

Commenting on the preparations towards the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Global Media Alliance, Mr. Ernest Boateng noted:

“Preparations are far advanced for the organization of the 2nd edition of the Ghana Beverage Awards, the only platform in Ghana where the contributions of beverage Industry players are recognised and rewarded.  With the enhanced application including beverage companies’ contributions to corporate social responsibility, environmental friendliness of their operations, employment, tax obligations as well as product quality, we expect a highly competitive edition.”

The Ghana Beverage Awards was first launched in 2016 with the objective of honouring the diligent beverage producers in this country as well as to create a platform for stakeholders in the industry to interact with each other for their collective good.

Beverage giants including Kasapreko Company Limited, Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited, Blow Chem Industries (producers of Bel Aqua Mineral Water), Special Ice Company Limited, Blues Skies Ghana, TT Brothers Company Limited (producers of Uncle T wine), GIHOC Distilleries (producer of Castle Bridge) and Twellium Industrial Company Limited (producers of Rush Energy Drink) participated in the Maiden Edition last year.

The Food and Beverage Association of Ghana (FABAG), Food Research Institute under Centre for Scientific and industrial Research (CSIR), Consumer Protection Agency and the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), are the organizing partners of the event.
