Ghanaian movie legend Asonaba Kweku Darko (Super OD), who passed on February 13, was laid to rest over the weekend at the the Agona-Abodom Community Park in the Central Region.

The ceremony was graced by key personalities as Osofo Dadzie, highlife great Nana Kwame Ampadu, MP for Agona East, Queenster Maame Pokua Sawyerr, as well as former president John Dramani Mahama, who made a donation of GHC 10,000 to the family of the deceased.

Over an influential career beginning in the 1970s, the funny man starred in a variety of roles in popular productions, such as the movies Fatal Decision and Double Cross, as well as the Akan Drama on GTV. The actor began his career in the Oppong Drama Group which later became known as Osofo Dodzie Group.

Father of 15 children, Super OD was aged 84.
