Here is the music video for ‘Forget’, the first video off Akwaboah’s new album, Matters of the Heart. Featuring label mate Strongman, the song was produced by Apya. Accompanying visuals, shot on location in London, was directed by Christopher Daniels (Visionary Media) for Sarkcess Music.

Consisting 12 songs, the record, his first under Sarkodie’s SarkCess Music imprint, features collaborations from the rapper, label mate Strongman, Nigeria’s Seyi Shay, Efya, and TxT.

Acclaimed for for penning some of the most influential contemporary love songs from these parts, such as Becca’s ‘Daa ke Daa’,  SP Kofi Sarpong’s ‘Ayeyi Ndwom’ , and much of Sarkodie’s 2015 live album ‘Mary‘, the singer’s work is widely anticipated to be groundbreaking.

Son of Highlife great Kwadwo Akwaboah (formerly of the Marriots International Band), the 2010 VGMA Songwriter of the Year is currently signed to SarkCess Music, and recently published “Hey Me Bo”.
