Organisers of the 3 Music awards have apologized to Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, and rapper Tinny for them not being able to perform at the maiden edition of the awards.
Mr Ezekiel Tetteh, popularly known as Stip in the media circles, a leading member of the organising team, posted the apology on his personal page.
By the grace of Almighty God we had a successful show.
I want to take this opportunity to apologize to all the musicians who couldn’t perform on the night especially Charles Nii Armah Mensah and Tinny Aletse it was our fault as organizers and we beg their fans and patrons to forgive us. It’s our maiden edition and we made mistakes which we will learn from.
This event wouldn’t have been successful without your support. God bless us all.
The all-new Fantasy Dome at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra, last night, witnessed the first annual 3Music Awards.
Dominated by ZYLOFON acts and dancehall titans Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, as well as SarkCess Music man, Sarkodie, the scheme, which has been widely hailed as a laudable alternative platform for honouring music greats, also witnessed Northern stars Fancy Gadam and Maccasio, minister Joe Mettle, Becca, One Corner man Patapaa, and late singer Ebony Reigns all pick up laurels for various feats.
The ceremony was compered by hip-hop mogul D- Black and screen goddess, Joselyn Dumas, and witnessed electrifying performances from Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle, NanaYaa, spoken word act Chieff Moomen, and hiplife veterans Ex Doe and Chicago.
