Ghanaian media icon and entrepreneur, Bola Ray has been integral in Ghanaian showbiz for the past two decades or so, serving the industry in a variety of roles; deejay, executive producer, music promoter, MC, among others.

Last night,at a dinner event held at the Polo Club Restaurant & Lounge in Accra, the mogul, born Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi, was joined by hundreds of stakeholders in Ghanain showbiz and broadcasting to mark his 41 years on earth. Ranging from musicians, executives of such outfits as the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) and the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO), media personalities, DJ, and EIB Network colleagues, the beautiful gathering was full  of love and admiration for Bola’s contribution to the industry, as well as what a firm pillar of unity he has been over the years.

The likes of Samini, Jupitar, Feli Nuna, Epixode, Joey B, EL, Gemini, MzVee, Kuami Eugene, KiDi, Kwaw Kese, Nana Yaa, Efya, D Cryme, Cabum, Gyedu Blay Ambulley, Bice Osei Kuffour (Obour), Rex Omar, Edem, Coded, Maccasio, Becca, DJ Vyrusky, and Teephlow were all present.

The Gospel fraternity was also well- represented, with reigning VGMA Artist of the Year Joe Mettle, OJ, Ehemaa Mercy, and SP Kofi Sarpong, all gracing the historic evening.

Taking turns to wish the EIB boss a fruitful new year, the honoured guests recounted the diverse ways Bola Ray has affected their careers directly or indirectly. They also took the opportunity to emphasise the need for unity in the industry, as it is the most proven way to truly put Ghana on the world map. This sentiment was perhaps, most stressed by rapper Kwaw Kese, who went full frontal in his emotional speech which attracted loud applause.

Veteran musician, Gyedu Blay Ambulley, also called on younger acts to tap from the experiences of seasoned counterparts in order to preserve the essence of the craft.

Several presentations were also made to Bola Ray, who beamed happily all night,  to commemorate the day. See images below:
