#ENEWSGHPoeticLicence: Corpus – Asford PSALMS

Published

on

From glory came the earth;

And from the earth, sand.

From sand came forth man;

And man brought forth sin.

For the reasons and reasoning, I care not.

But for the redemption plan god had for man, He sent down, in essence, His son to live with, for, and amongst men.

It appointed for man to live and then to die.

From dirt came man and into it we shall unwind.

Though born out of flesh the Spirit cometh from above.

And whether being a cross or a stake, He spilt His blood onto the ground for the Love sake

So what did He leave behind?

Love in all state;

A torn curtain in the inner of the temple so we can all partake with faith.

But as it is now, the faith is a counterfeit.

We believe in ourselves and curse in pennies and pounds.

There is too much ego in the church.

The place of respite is now a home to despise.

The head has forgotten its purpose and thinks it sits above the rest of the body, without it, the rest won’t live to tell its story.

The eye watches yet it sees blindly.

The nose breathes but holds himself to be the lifeline.

The mouth sings but not songs anymore; cursing the others not working well.

There’s too much ego in the church!

For the backbone knows that without him the entire body is crippled without a doubt.

Yet, he forgets he will not always stand.

Speaking of standing, the feet does that well; it can stand, walk and run.

It has learnt to run out of the sight of the sun.

Not forgetting the hand, he casts and kills; beats and steals.

And the remaining parts left to carve its own parts of what reality should feel.

What is wrong with the church is ego.

Pride in the works of thyself.

Head belittling the feet.

Eyes bewitching everything.

Hands bedeviling the heart.

Mouth; cussing the entire band.

And the bone believing without him, the rest is weak.

Oh! How quickly I forgot the brain; thinking highly of himself and silently talking in silence behind the back of the rest of the body.

The parts of the body in Christ;

The church He left behind and the scriptures we keep on to rewrite has been ridden with only word;

Ego!

There’s too much ego in the church.

Asford Psalms.

#ENEWSGHPoeticLicence: Daydream – Asford PSALM

Published

on

The night visions beckon me to a wake.

I have stayed all night to figure it right;

From the mammoth to its tiny bits.

Night is gone, day is here;

But I’m stuck in a looping rear.

For a reason or the other and though the sun is here;

It seems to have not found a way to light away my fear.

My arm is up and my jaw sits atop.

But in a new day I flay in the same dream non-stop.

I’m at the mercy of a night vision that won’t go away;

A day dream; one in part, the same.

When at all can I walk my thoughts?

Can I even work my thoughts?

Will it even be worth it?

Gracefully and all of a sudden,

A snap!

His snapping fingers won’t stop until my mind responds to him with same.

Why are you lost in your thoughts son?

You are in too deep in the wrong way.

Walk out of your thoughts and make it work;

Your thoughts on its own has no legs!

Lucky for you, you have two legs and arms too.

So make it work!

#ENEWSGHPoeticLicence: Nowhere to go – ASFORD PSALM

Published

on

The first time was to be my last.

The first time was to come by and away it goes past.

But then I tasted the sweet in the crevices and the cracks;

And I have lost all haste to leave thus fast.

The first was to only be but the first;

Until I tasted more of its sweets.

Now it has had me mellow and my craving thirst has bid me to follow.

With nowhere to go I am an obliged fellow;

I have lost all counts and can’t keep score.

I am livid though I ask for more and more.

I will love to go back to where I came from.

Contrary, here I am, held against my will to the sweets of this world.

The first time was a wish;

The second was a charm;

The third meant no harm, but here I am, I have been bewitched.

And it seems there’s nowhere to go.

#ENEWSGHPoeticLicence: Escape – Asford PSALM

Published

on

Up-above or down-below, there’s so much but nothing to show.

Down-below or up-above there’s everywhere but nowhere to go.

The option is a smiling face yet a hurting heart;

A sweating face mixed with tears which cannot be abate.

A mustard seed faith which is damned by fate.

There is an exigent need to escape.

Yet; beneath the reflection is a mountain of everything and nothingness;

Its peak dwells deep down into the earth.

Beneath the reflection of this calm river are waves that speaks with no still voice.

A sun as pale as the moon;

A sky without birds;

And clouds as jagged as a curse.

Beneath the reflection is a person whose world has been turned upside down.

Exigency beckons for an escape!

But within that same reflection there cannot be an escape for the poor soul.

Escape cometh by deflection.

#ENEWSGHPoeticLicence: TRANSITION – Asford PSALM!

Published

on

Life is a gift.

Our being on earth.

Our existence, leaves far too many unanswered questions.

Marvelously, the more we try to comprehend, the more complicated it becomes.

The more we try to discover, many doors we do create with more questions needing answers behind them.

The Supernatural force of creation, let onto us; ‘grace’ and a much bigger scope of possibilities.

The possibility of ‘what is’, ‘what could be’, ‘what is not’, and why we should fail even before another possibility arises.

There are no mistakes in life.

A deed today; be it positive or otherwise, has a role in nature’s path to perfection.

Each string of humanity, every possibility, every single thought and idea, every failure, every success, countless disasters, brutalities and every single action of who so ever, is perfection.

There is a greater picture of life than just living.

What you choose to see is up to you.

When and what you think is your own perquisite initiative.

Life is a fairy tale.

At least, that is what the young soul might think.

Could they be wrong?

How we see life is an extension of our imagination, far and exceedingly above what is by sight.

Life is living with a foot in the past, the other in the present and our greatest tool; the mind, on the future.

And this does not limit our transition to being the bigger man.

Being the bigger man in the picture is mostly life in its entirety.

It’s being the better you.

Being better than you were years, days, hours or even seconds ago.

Challenging yourself to every inch of possibility and opportunity known to even circles beyond.

It is about accepting what is and not.

It is about giving-in every stroke of ink to the bigger painting than what you possibly see at an arm stretch away.

It is about giving that hand;

Sharing that space;

Being fueled by the negativities;

Seeing through the pain;

Feeling that shame and standing right back up at where you lost your name;

It’s about being hurt, shedding those tears;

Having many fears, loosing as many as possible ‘dears’;

Falling down, rising back up;

Sharing that simple smile;

Getting angry, losing control and coming right back on track;

Falling apart, gathering every broken piece together;

It’s about being curious, living an adventure, going an extra mile, fracturing your parts, limping on them;

It’s about living in the shadows and coming out with a body;

It’s about doing the wrongs;

Apologizing for what is due;

It’s about righting the wrongs.

Making the best out of each flaw;

Facing your demons;

Praying to live on;

Hoping for the best;

Living the present;

Hoping to avert the worst;

It’s about dreaming big;

Thinking fast and being smart.

Life is short for regrets.

Life is about knowing when to say ‘Yes’ and staying firm to your ‘No’.

It’s about being strong when weakness wants to get you on hold.

It’s about being defined and re-defined

Being molded and re-molded.

It’s about coming out with an extra lining of excellence.

Life is just a fascinating intangible.

Its drive is faith.

A hope of a better future than the past.

And the living of the present.

Life is worth living but not dying for.

When all goes wrong; raise your head up high, face the sun and as you hope for a change, make it.

If all is well, be thankful.

Life is a gift.

An imagination waiting to be made possible not only by chance but by actions.
