Sarkodie has revealed that if he hadn’t titled his current album ‘The HIGHEST’, he would have released it under the name ‘SACRIFICE’

Sarkodie made this known on the 7th Edition of LEAD SERIES hosted by Jay Foley at the Capitol Café and Restaurant.

In explaining how the name ‘The Highest’ came about, he said, ‘‘People use to call me the highest and I didn’t know why. So when I related it to my status and what I have been able to achieve, I just felt it made sense’’

He added that, ‘‘my daughter played a major role, because that was the highest level for me in my life when she came. I felt this is it. It beats anything; it beats the BET awards, MTV awards. That was the highest point’’

The Highest which is Michael Owusu Addo’s fifth studio album features some major local and international acts such as Producer Jayso, Big Narstie, Victoria Kimani (Kenya), Moelogo (UK), Spoken Word artist Suli Breaks (UK), and Korede Bello (Nigeria).
