Ex-Lynx star OJ Blaq has recounted on Accra-based Live FM, his harrowing experience fighting double kidney failure last year.

Speaking on mid-morning programme The Lifestyle Cafe, he disclosed that the incident has led him to quit smoking, for instance.

Born Andy Nii Akrashie, OJ Blaq shot to fame for his role in TV series Sun City, and then such musical hits as Chale Wote and Galanja.

OJ Blaq has, since leaving Lynx Entertainment, been away from public light, till pictures of him bedridden, surfaced on social media.
