Last night, top Ghanaian dancehall act Livingstone Satekla (Stonebwoy) curated one of the biggest outdoor events in the country this year.
Held in partnership with ZYLOFON Media, the concert: “Ashaiman to the World”, brought on one stage several A-list acts as Kofi Kinaata, Joyce Blessing, Kumi Guitar, Becca, KelvinBoy, Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win, “One Corner” man Patapaa, and arch-rival Shatta Wale.
Held at the Saka Saka Park, the event attracted thousands of loyalists and music fans in general, and was energy-filled from start to finish.
Disturbingly (as Stonebwoy revealed via Facebook), they was an attempt by unknown assailants on his life as he got ready to mount the stage. The knife missed him, but got his wife instead. She sustained an injury on her back, and as rushed to the hospital. Unfazed, the “Mightylele”‘ man went ahead with the concert, thrilling fans to hours of live band renditions of his many anthems.
“Knife cuts Tru My Tent Missed Me As Target And Cuts wifey on her back side! Minute Before I Hit Stage! But #IstillDeliveredForMyPeople and Rushed To The hospital right after I Got Off Stage…
Cant express my gratitude enough to all who Came To make it possible. #ATTWC17 Record Broken!
