Ghanaian artist Samuel Bazawule (Blitz the Ambassador) has rounded up shooting his first feature film The Burial of Kojo.
A month-long project, completing the film did not come without challenges. Taking to social media portal Facebook.com, the rapper bemoaned how difficult it was to secure sponsorship for the work merely because it was coming from these parts: ” This has been a real test of will and commitment. Every investor we approached turned down the project. They just couldn’t see the value in funding an African story. We lost essential crew, cast and producers along the way. ” he posted.
That notwithstanding, filming has successfully been completed, and the work is expected to be published in coming months.

After 4 weeks of intense filming in Ghana, our debut feature film #TheBurialOfKojo has officially wrapped. Thanks to the AMAZING Cast & Crew. This has been a real test of will and commitment. Every investor we approached turned down the project. They just couldn’t see the value in funding an African story. We lost essential crew, cast and producers along the way. But eventually we have triumphed!!! Extremely blessed to Write, Produce, Direct and Self Fund my first feature. Thanks for those who stood by me through it all. Hope y’all are ready for some magic!!! #LetNothingStopYou
