Ghanaian rapper Samuel Bazawule (Blitz the Ambassador) has began shooting his debut feature film “The Burial of Kojo”.
The hiphop act, who is not new to directing (he’s worked on a number of short films in the past) discloses via social media, that the project has taken a year of preparation. He also could not hide his excitement about the work, stressing how eager he is to publish the “magic”:
“Today was AMAZING!!!!. Begun shooting my debut feature film #TheBurialOfKojo in Accra with a fantastic cast and crew. After a year of prep we are finally on our way!!!! Thankful Thankful Thankful. Can’t wait to share this magic with you. Follow our journey at @theburialofkojo”, he posted on Facebook.
Shooting is expected to take twenty days.
Since featuring on the 2000 hit Deeba, Blitz has gone on to release an extensive discography including Soul Rebel EP (2004), Double Consciousness EP (2005), StereoLive EP (2009), The Warm Up EP (2013), Diasporadical EP (2015), Stereotype (2009), Native Sun (2011), and Afropolitan Dreams (2014)
