Ghanaian rap star Sarkodie was recently in the UK promoting his forthcoming fifth solo album “The Highest”. The press tour saw him stop by top FM stations in London, as well as music commerce giants Sony Music and Shazam.
Tonight at the Hammerstein Ballroom in the US, Sarkodie looks to replicate the iconic History in the Making Concert (in which he filled up the famous Apollo Theatre years ago). Dubbed “History in the Making Reloaded”, the show is a partnership between TM Entertainment, and his own SarkCess Music imprint.
The concert commences at 8 pm, and he will be backed by UK-based band Composers, and has highlife giant Amakye Dede, label mate Akwaboah Jnr. and comic actor/ musician Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win all as supporting acts.

The BET laureate (born Michael Owusu Addo) has also lined up a series of dates in Europe and the US in honour of the album. Sarkodie is CEO of his independent imprint SarkCess Music, which is also home to singer Akwaboah, and fellow rap act Strongman.
