Afrobeats and Hip-hop newcomer, Kay-T is out with a brand new party banger titled “One Motion”.

The prolific singer and rapper lays it low on the low tempo Afrobeats jam and talks a little dirty (in coded lyrics).

“One Motion” combines sounds of modern Afrobeats and a bit of Hip-hop, and it’s definitely going to be the sound of the millennials.

Known in real life as Kwaku Tenkorang Obeng, Kay-T is a Ghanaian recording artist and entrepreneur from Taifa. He started making music at age 14 in 2009. He started out as a Hip-hop artist and later added Afrobeats to his repertoire in 2016.

Kay-T studied Communication Design in KNUST where in his final year he spent a few months studying under well renowned Ghanaian director Yaw Skyface. In that same year, Kay -T started his own film company, Hawk Eye Cinema, and started directing videos under the name KTO.

In his final year, he directed a number of music videos which include “Gimme Vibe” by Medikal featuring Stonebwoy, “Ony One” by Dee Moneey featuring Efya and “Vanilla Freestyle” by Odunsi.

After his graduation, Kay-T was asked in an interview whether he was an artist or a director. His response was, “who created the box you’re trying to put me in? I’m an entrepreneur – music and directing are just a few of the many things. I’m capable of doing and plan to execute.”
