The inaugural Ghana Event Awards came off at the plush African Regent Hotel Accra last Friday August 11, 2017, and saw Berla Mundi, Fancy Gadam, Sarkodie, ShattaWale, SwagOfAfrica, Charter House among others walk home with prestigious laurels.

The event which aims at “awarding and recognise organizations as well as individuals who create and successfully execute incredible events as well as their immerse contribution to events in Ghana in our industry” has already received plaudits for how beautifully it was put together.

Hosted by Kwame A. A Opoku and EIB Network’s A.J Sarong, the evening was also highlighted by breathtaking performances from Lekzy Decomic, Ephraim, KiDi,and Josh Blakk’s acoustic band among others. A full-house ceremony, it was also graced by key industry dignitaries as George Quaye, actress Gloria Sarfo, DKB, Betty Ofosu, Amanda Jissi, musician Kwaku T, and Kulaperry (Kulaperry Outlook).

The event was powered by Eventguide in association with the Ministry of Tourism and the National Commission on Culture. Sponsors include Lesfam company limited, Kaya Tours, Asi.com, EIB Network, Twellium Industries and African Regent Hotel, Dirt Entertainment, Malta Guinness and Carly Beads.
