Versatile and talented female musician, Feli Nuna has waded in on the recent controversy surrounding the just ended Golden Movie Awards Africa.
The young vibrant artist who is on a media tour to promote her latest release GELAWAY stressed that red carpets are important in show business; however, the industry must be strong for the red carpet to mean something.
Speaking on 3 Music Flava with Chris Kata and Official Kwame on Tv3, the Afromagic crooner said; ‘’the red carpet isn’t complete waste because it highlights the industry. The events night will be nothing without it. However, as Yvonne indicated, the industry has to be strong for the red carpet to mean something.’’
Feli gained international recognition after featuring in a Coke Studio session alongside Ugandan artiste, Chameleone, Mozambican, Neyma and Nigeria’s Patoranking.
Her latest music video GELAWAY released in the week promotes girl power and women empowerment.
It features a host of female celebrities including Berla Mundi, MzVee, Moesha Boduong, Fela Makafui (YOLO), Amanda Jissih and Ahoufe Patri.
Reacting to her alleged enmity with MzVee, Feli confirmed the opposite saying, ‘’I don’t have any issues with MzVee, as you can see she is in my recent video. We met not long after the DAAVI tweet and I feel that the fans were the ones who took the story and ran with it.’’
‘’I believe in unity and that’s why I brought the concept of GELAWAY. Bringing the celebrities together just tells you that unity works’’ ‘’a top is a lonely place when you are there alone, so unity, on point! Beef, Nah!’’ she added.
3 Music Flava airs every Friday on Tv3 and DStv Channel 279 at 16:00 GMT and is hosted by Official Kwame and Chris Kata.
