Ace Ghanaian filmmaker Shirley Frimpong Manso’s “Potato Potahto” will screen at the  38th Durban International Film Festival on July 16. It follows a remarkable premiere at the Cannes Film Festival months ago.

 

Starring Joselyn Dumas, Adjetey Anang, Chris Attoh, Victoria Michaels, OC Ukeje, Lala Akindoju, Joke Silva among others, the romantic comedy will show at the Gateway Theatre of Shopping at 6 pm local time.

“Potato Potahtoh” details the experiences of a divorced couple whose intentions of still sharing their matrimonial home leads to confusion after confusion, starting with when husband Tony seeks the services of  a gorgeous lady as house help.

Ex-wife Lulu employ a true adonis as response, and things simply get out of hand.

Written and directed by the award-winning Shirley Frimpong-Manso, the film tells explores themes surrounding love, jealousy and insecurity, and follows her other works as  “Rebeca,” “The Contract,” “Devil in the Detail,” “Grey Dawn” and “V-Republic.”
