Ghanaian rap star Sherif Abdul-Majeed (Maccasio) chose an unconventional way to crown the annual Ramadan period, performing to, and feeding inmates of the Tamale Central Prison on Sallah Day.
It adds to regular acts of charity the “Long John” rapper has engaged in during his fast-rising career. Last year, he toured parts of the Northern Region spreading the message of peace ahed of the general elections.
A Giant Malt ambassador, Maccasio has also collaborated on projects with sought-after mainstream acts including Kofi Kinaata, Zeal (VVIP), and dancehall star Shatta Wale.
