Dancehall singer Livingstone Satekla (Stonebwoy), who got married over the weekend, announces visuals to his recent single “My Name”.
An delicate number, it discusses how easily people pass judgement without bothering to uncover the entirety of a story. The video is his debut offering since signing with XYLOFON Media.
Visuals for “My Name” were directed by Tim McCartney.
Winner of several awards including VGMA Artist of the Year and BET Best International Act: Africa (both in 2015), Stonebwoy is author of two albums: Grade 1 (2012) and Necessary Evil (2014).
Stonebwoy is one of 8 acts in the running for the prize of Best International Act: Africa. The country’s sole representative this year, it is his second time at the awards after being nominated (and winning) in 2015. His third studio album EOM is dedicated to his late mother, and is scheduled for release later this year.
