News made rounds over the weekend that veteran Ghanaian filmmaker// entertainment pundit Socrate Safo, has been at post as Executive Secretary for the National Commission on Culture (NCC) sans an official appointment letter.
It was also reported that his post had been warded to another operative of the ruling New Patriotic Party, hence a directive for him to vacate his office. This was met with widespread furore (especially across social media), with many venting out their displeasure at how his appointment was being handled.
ENEWSGH has sighted an official appointment letter signed by Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Hon. Catherine Afeku assigning him to post as Director of Creative Arts, responsible for Programs & Projects at the Commission.
Hon. Afeku now acts as Executive Secretary role is expected to be filled by the Minister of Tourism, Arts & Culture at the NCC.
