Ghanaian rapper M.anifest is among 11 finalists from across the globe who will perform at the inaugural Midem Artist Accelerator event which holds from today June 6 to Friday, June 9.
Presented by SONY, it is put together to “support managers, agents, labels and publishers as they look to grow their artists’ profiles globally, it’s the opportunity to promote 11 upcoming international talents selected by an Artistic Committee”.
The 2017 Artistic Committee consists celebrated American musician Wyclef Jean, Puerto Rican artist and mogul Daddy Yankee, Devraj Sanyal (MD & CEO of Universal Music Group – South Asia), Renneth Tshisikule (Founder & Director at The Independent Music Exporters – South Africa), Laurence Muller ( Founder & CEO of Snoot, Paris), Yoon Young -Kong (Founder & Executive Producer of Zandari Culture Company – South Korea), Pitchfork President Christopher Kaskie among other global music influencers.
M.anifest is joined on the prestigious platform by Adian Coker (United Kingdom) Be Charlotte (United Kingdom), Geoffroy (Canada), Iris Gold (Denmark), Kiddy Smile (France), Prateek Kuhad (India), Shakka (United Kingdom), Rendez-Vous (France), and XXX (South Korea).
He will play a live set tonight, and his W’ani Aba, featured on Midem’s communications, and its official 2017 vinyl compilation.
