Who wins what at the SAGE National Championships? Come June 10th, 20 teams from different high schools across Ghana will demonstrate their entrepreneurial smarts, for the number 1 position in the SAGE High School Entrepreneurial Championships. The competition will be looking for two champions in the following broad categories; Social Enterprise Business (SEB), which seeks to evaluate sustainable business ideas aimed at bringing social change, and Socially Responsible Business (SRB), which seeks to evaluate sustainable for-profit businesses.

Each school make a presentation on their business, clearly explaining the business concept, operations, how they raised funds, how they promote their business, and the succession plans put in place. The best teams, as determine by the panel of judges in both categories, will be crowned winners. The best all-round team however, will win the overall prize of representing Ghana at the 2017 SAGE World Cup in Ukraine.

The competition comes off on the 10th of June, from 8am to 4pm, at the main auditorium of The Knutsford University College, East Legon. Non-participating schools are encouraged to attend the event as observers, to enable them sign up for the 2018 Championships.

SAGE is an acronym for Students for Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship. It is a global institution with presence in over 30 countries, and it aims at raising the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders. SAGE Ghana is headed by Robert Klah as the National Coordinator with Jonathan Nsebo as the Vice National Coordinator.
