Celebrated sports broadcaster Christopher Opoku reportedly passed in London yesterday May 10 after an extended battle with cancer.
News of his passing has come as a blow to the entire nation, with glowing tributes pouring from many, including esteemed colleagues in the fraternity.

Having been the face of Accra-based Metro TV for several years, Christopher’s most recent engagements were with Citi FM, Business & Financial Times, and Footy-Ghana.com. Over the course of an illustrious career, he was also associated with GTV Sports+, Happy Sports, Kumasi-based Luv FM among others. He was also one time GHALCA administrative manager.
A great loss to Ghanaian media as a whole, he was was survived by Vivian (his wife), and three children.
