VIP Jeoun Transport has partnered Vivo Energy Ghana, distributors and marketers of the Shell brand, to introduce a new service dubbed: ‘VIP Premium Service’ which will give passengers free WiFi services and night police escort for travellers en route to Kumasi.

The premium service can be accessed at the Airport Shell branch, and has among its benefits, refreshment on board. In addition to this, no charges apply to luggage that weigh up to 30kg, and an executive waiting area, all at a fare of GH?65.

Speaking at the launch of the initiative in Accra, Operations Manager of VIP Jeoun Transport, Dennis Kusi, said the introduction of the service is to provide more comfort and to cement its position as the most innovative transportation services provider in the country.

“With the opening of the VIP Premium Services at the Airport Shell, we hope to bring to our travelling public a new dimension to traveling with less stress in accessing our major terminal and also create a convenience to persons connecting from the Kotoka International Airport to other locations,” he said.

Commuters around Airport and its environs will have the option of choosing a pre-booked bus or the pay as you go tickets.

Commenting on the partnership between the two institutions, Retail Manager of Vivo Energy, Kwame Ackah, in a speech delivered on behalf of the Managing Director, said his outfit “will bring on board quality fuel, lubricants, and shop management expertise that will further drive patronage for maiden VIP premium service.”

“Our leadership in matters of health, safety, security, and the environment will also be embedded to ensure customer safety and comfort when they come to Airport City Shell to board these VIP buses,” he added.

Mr. Ackah further assured Shell customers that the company will continue to offer high quality fuels at best prices.

Vivo Energy was established in 2011 to take over the exclusive distribution and marketing of Shell branded products in 16 African countries. Vivo Energy Ghana now operates over 200 Shell service stations across the country.

VIP Jeoun Transport Company was incorporated in 2009 with just nine buses but now has over 400 fleet of buses. Passenger traffic of the company currently stands at 5000 daily, accounting for over 70 percent of commuters.

VIP transport is present in over seven regions across the country.
