Published

on

Throughout his career, rapper Sarkodie has enjoyed colossal support from his native Tema, and though he has often taken to music to acknowledge what unmatched family that particular constituency has proven to be for him over the years, he looks to demonstrate his affection for Tema even further.

Via Twitter Saturday January 20, the SarkCess CEO assured his home crowd of a free show: “It’s a must I do a free show in TEMA”, he posted.

This comes as welcome news to his ever-growing fanbase as well as pundits who have constantly held that a show thus, by the BET laureate is long overdue. When the show finally materialises, it will follow similar gestures by the likes of VVIP and Stonebwoy, who hold perennial free shows to  honour the loyalty shown them by neighbourhoods that have served as their springboard over the years (Nima and Ashaiman respectively).

Sarkodie is recipient of multiple local and international awards, and author of five well-received albums. His SarkCess Music label is also home to fellow.w rap act Strongman, and singer Akwaboah Jnr.
