According to the world’s famous American animator, entrepreneur and film producer Walt Disney, ‘All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.’ And that’s the exact philosophy the reigning Miss Ghana UK Queen believes. According to Rachel Ama Djan, Miss Ghana UK has been a long life dream of hers and she’s wanted to do it since she was five years old.
Twenty year old Rachel Ama Djan who was crowned Miss Ghana UK 2016 on September 24, 2016 in London revealed this to Kwesi Dope, host of the Brunch on Spyderlee Entertainment TV on Wednesday morning. According to her, when she was five years old, she used to write it down on a piece of paper; saying that she was going to win Miss Ghana UK.
‘I saw the campaign on Instagram and I thought why not go ahead with it. I went through the audition which was a neck-racking moment for me. We were about 12 girls for the first audition. Eventually, the final 16 were chosen for the pageant. I was very excited when I found out that I was chosen to be a part of the pageant. It was an amazing experience. Even on the day of the event, we had lots of fun and amazing talks,’ she said.
The reigning Miss Ghana UK Queen is currently in the country to undertake activities of the Miss UK Foundation in the areas of education, health and social development.
