Confession hitmaker Kofi Kinaata, who picked up three awards (including Songwriter of the Year for the second time running) returns to his home city of Takoradi this Saturday for a grand float through the principal streets of the town in a special appreciation gesture.

Takoradi has served as a strong pillar for the High Grade Family musician, and he looks to reiterate his loyalty to the city that raised him on Saturday.

A key highlight of the “mega float” is the showcasing of the plaques he picked up at the 18th annual Ghana Music Awards. There’ll also be brass band, Jama sessions, and and a DJ set during the float.

Starting at 10 am at Efiekuma No. 9, participate are expected to be dressed in Kinaata- branded t-shirts.

Kofi Kinaata also picked up awards for Best Highlife Artist and Best Highlife Song at the awards, and follows in the steps of Best New Act Fancy Gadam, who received a rapturous welcome when he returned to Tamale with his award.
