BBNZ rapper EL (who also looks to retain the title of Artist of the Year) and Joe Mettle have picked up their first awards for the the night at the ongoing Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Kofi Kinaata returned to pick up Highlife Artist of the Year, while Sarkodie picked up Hiplife/Hiphop Artist of the Year.
Compered by Starr FM’s Anita Erskine, it has also seen Stonebwoy, Paapa Yankson, Sammy Amed, Philip Acquah have all picked up laurels already.
VGMA 2017 is a Charterhouse Ghana production. It is sponsored by telecoms giant Vodafone. EL, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle, MzVee, Medikal are all in the running for the coveted award of Artist of the Year.
